Important Dates
September 13 - Terry Fox permission forms are due...forms are in your PowerSchool Parent Portal under "Fees and Forms". Form must be completed in order to participate.
September 14 - Terry Fox Run
September 15 - PD Day - No School
September 21 - School Council AGM/PTA AGM at 6:00 p.m.
September 28 - Orange Shirt Day
September 29 - No School, in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
A Fresh Start
I have always loved the start of a new school year. After a prolonged period of rest and reflection, we get to reset with a clean slate. This year the start-up has had a little more energy to it. In addition to welcoming our new grade 7 students, we have also welcomed three new teachers. Please take some time to connect with Ms. Krista Read, Ms. Becca Mudry and Dr. Karen Gartner. They are excited to be part of the team at CSS. I would also like to welcome two new educational assistants, Ms. Jennifer de Groot and Ms. Brittany Hallborg. As we begin the year, I want to encourage you to be part of the vibrant community at CSS. Find a way to participate by volunteering or coming out to our School Council and PTA meetings. As always, if you have questions or concerns, reach out to the office anytime.
