Partnerships at Lea
As part of it’s community school strategy, Lea has cultivated a diverse network of partnerships with community-based organizations and local institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania.
As of the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year, Lea is in active partnership with 37 partner organizations that are responsible for facilitating 54 distinct partner programs with our school – making Lea one of the most unique schools in Philadelphia in regards to school-community partnerships.
The categories of organizations, institutions, and/or initiatives that make up Lea’s 37 partner organizations vary across various categories: nonprofit organizations; community-based organizations; faith-based institutions; organizations affiliated with the School District of Philadelphia; and schools, departments, centers, organizations, programs, and courses affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
The categories of programming across Lea’s 54 partner programs vary far more considerably, as demonstrated the breadth of programming categories outlined in the chart below.
The Lea School Calendar (https://tinyurl.com/lea-school-calendar) is an online calendar for sharing scheduling information for Lea Elementary School, the School District of Philadelphia, and Lea partner programs with Lea students, families, staff, and partners.
