In-Person Summer Program Information

Lea's University-Assisted Community School (UACS) program (https://padlet.com/netteruacs/lea) is operating in-person summer programming for Summer 2021 from June 28th through August 6th (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm) out of 2 locations this summer:

1. UACS will operate our annual Summer Camp for students in 1st – 8th grades at the Penn Alexander School (PAS) located at 4209 Spruce St, 19104.

2. UACS will partner with the School District of Philadelphia to operate a summer program at the Powel/SLA Middle School located at 3610 Warren St, 19104.

To enroll your child in one of these programs, follow the directions below:

1. Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) WorkReady programs for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are back in 2021! Learn and earn with our UACS Career Exploration and Internship programs! REGISTER NOW at workready.org and click on “Apply Now” to start your application. Be sure to use referral code "c113" to get connected to the UACS PYN program.

2. Sign up for the UACS 1^st Grade – 8^th Grade Summer Camp @ Penn Alexander School! We are planning a fun-filled summer learning experience for all students with a focus on literacy exposure, math strategies, social-emotional learning opportunities, sports, art, music, and more! REGISTER NOW by completing the online UACS Enrollment Form.

3. Sign up for the School District of Philadelphia's Summer Academic programming! As an out-of-school-time partner, UACS staff will supplement the city's and district's academic programming for Grades K – 8th with fun and engaging after-school activities! REGISTER NOW by completing the district's online summer program registration form to reserve your child a seat for summer programming with the District: SDP Elementary Summer Program Registration 2021

Lea's University-Assisted Community School (UACS) program will also operate virtual summer programming during Summer 2021 from June 28th through August 6th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

UACS is planning a fun-filled learning virtual experience for students in grades K through 8th with a focus on literacy exposure, math strategies and social emotional learning opportunities, art, music and more!

REGISTER NOW by doing the following:

1. Complete the online UACS Enrollment Form.

2. Complete this short K-8 Summer Program Interest Form and select "virtual programming".

Lea's other out-of-school-time partner, Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership (PAEP) is offering virtual summer enrichment programming for students in 5th - 8th grades who are interested in virtual-only programming for Summer 2021.

This virtual summer program with focus on the arts and science, and will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from June 29th through August 5th.
