The Taranaki tribes came into existence when Kurahaupō canoe tribes marries with Te Kāhui Maunga who were the people of mountains. Mt Taranaki was named after Rua Taranaki, the first chief of the tribe.
Usually these tribes were constantly attacked and raided by a neighboring tribe of Waiko so they had frequent wars against these tribes.

Fijians are the natives who share a common culture and history and are the major indigenous people of the Fiji Islands. They live in an area called Melanesia where they arrived approximately 3,500 years ago and considered descendants of the Lapita people.

Historically, Fijians were known as the canoe building experts of the Pacific, using them to trade with Tonga. They were the first people to inhabit Fiji in about 3000 BCE where they traded with Tongans and Samoans and Polynesian Cultures evolved. Settlers lived in small communities and practiced slash and burn agriculture. The trade increased and this place was hence known for trading.

Ngāti Porou is derived from Porourangi, also known as Porou Ariki. This ancestor was a direct descendant of Toi-kai-rākau, Māui and Paikea the whale rider. Although the Nukutaimemeha is seen as the foundation canoe of Ngāti Porou, a variety of other ancestors traveled to East Cape on canoes such as Horouta, Tākitimu and Tereanini. The descendants of Porourangi and Toi created groups that spread across the East Cape through warfare and marriage alliances.

Ngāti Porou suffered severe losses during the Musket Wars, a time of increased conflict among iwi spurred by the availability of firearms. In 1819, a raid by Te Morenga of Ngāpuhi resulted in the death of two Ngāti Porou rangatira and many of their people. Later that year, a Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Maru raid on the iwi's pā at Wharekahika Bay was repelled, but not without massive casualties.

The Micronesians are people with worth and value. Other cultures should not take their land because they have been on these islands longer than others. They have had generations live there and have a stronger claim to the land. It's good for people to grow up knowing their ancestors. And it's important to learn about people who are very different from you. Many cultures have been demolished; we do not want it to happen again. Save indigenous cultures!
