We, at SMS, believe that compassion is a paramount trait of an individual.
Our school extends a helping hand to SOS Children's Village every year. SOS Children's Villages of India is an independent and non-profit organisation working towards holistic development of parentless children, women and children belonging to vulnerable families.
This year, SMS - Meera Bagh family contributed Rs. Seven Lakhs ten thousand to SOS. The cheque was collected by Ms. Tanu Bakshi, Director (Legal)-SOS Children’s Villages of India and Ms. Ritu Soni Assistant Manager - SOS Children's Village of India.
Our school has been the top collector for SOS Pan India for the past many years.
SMS, Meera Bagh stands in solidarity with the people of Turkey and Syria over the present crisis and extends a helping hand by contributing around 300 blankets to help the disaster affected people. Our heart goes out to all the affected people especially.
Odha do Zindagi: A Winter Campaign in Collaboration with NGO Goonj
To make the winter less harsh for the homeless and others living in remote areas, the SMS family contributed woolen articles like clothes jackets, sweaters, blankets, caps, etc. through the Odha do Zindagi Winter Campaign by Goonj.
NIRMAAN ENTERPRISES at SMSMB stands for the cause of low-income groups.
A team of students along with their teacher in charges from Nirmaan Enterprises, a student-run business of our school, visited a slum area where they distributed stationery items and biodegradable sanitary napkins. The initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and overall development and growth of communities, especially those in low-income areas.
GOONJ CAMPAIGN OF DIL KI SUNO - KUCH KARO
With their belief in the principle of ‘doing good is a collective responsibility’, students of Class 1 and 2 at SMSMB came together to spread the message of love and happiness by joining the GOONJ campaign of Dil ki Suno - Kuch Karo. During the festive period from October 2-10, the students contributed a fistful of lentils and rice before every meal and brought back a bag full of joy at the end of their autumn break to be shared with the needy.
