Commitment to Goals
Goal commitment is generally defined as an individual’s determination to extend effort toward a goal over time to achieve it according to authors, commitment is a “volitional psychological bond reflecting dedication to and responsibility for a particular target” This definition of commitment can be applied to any target within the workplace: the target may be the organization, leading to the notion of organizational commitment, or a specific objective leading to the concept of goal commitment, which is the focus of our study.
The truth is that some goals are achieved while others are not. Some failure is also required to make you more successful in life. Life is like a spring. The lower you go, the higher you tend to jump. What this means is don’t put off until tomorrow what you could do today.
Setting goals is a process that changes over time. The goals you set in your twenties will most likely differ from those you set in your forties.
Whatever your age doesn’t matter in the end, as long as you continually revisit your life goals and work to update them.
