The coronavirus pandemic has created a global crisis with far reaching social , economical and spiritual repercussions . In these very unusual and difficult circumstances, it becomes more important to safeguard one’s mental health to reduce stress . Countries like France , US , England etc. having best medical facilities failed to contain the virus resulting in numerous causalities.

A majority of the population contracted the disease with death toll increasing moment by moment . As a step for measure a lockdown was instated in various countries affected by the virus . It was a way to keep the people safe in their own homes . This lockdown though resulted in low economical development but was a good step taken for overcoming from this pandemic . The situation remained alarming for the most of the previous year with no positive news from any part of the world . The virus was a challenge to the existing medical technologies . Scientists from all over the world started their research to develop a vaccine effective against the virus . The main challenge posed before them was to develop a safe and an effective vaccine in few months . Until the vaccine was introduced the government took every possible measure to keep people safe . campaign drives were launched to aware people on how to maintain social distancing and how to keep your surroundings sanitized. People were taught about how can they improve their immunity like exercising regularly , eating healthy. People were also advised to avoiding overexposure to news and media because these instill fear in the minds of people and also bad news can worsen stress etc.

Use of sanitizers, washing hands every now and then, use of gloves and wearing masks at public places was made a must. Once situation was in control local people started moving out but with precautions . Because of this the Social distancing became more important as the virus can be spread with a touch of another person.

Though the situation was critical but on the contrary the Covid gave us time for ourselves which is a seldom activity in our busy schedules. People spent time with their families, worked through their passion and hobbies , discovered more about the world etc.

Now that the situation is under control and the active cases have also been decreased gradually over a course of period, people are now moving freely , going to restaurants etc. Even the schools and colleges have also reopened for regular classes after having online classes more than nine months. People are returning to their old daily routines but with complete precautions.

The pandemic taught people the importance of one’s life. How it is important to stay beside each other and help each other in hard times. Now with the time passing, the difficult times seem to be gone with people returning to their old selves but with an important lesson imprinted on their minds which this pandemic has taught.
