Epidemic refers to a rapid and extensive spread of diseases that affect lives of many people. Several epidemics have been seen in history ; they have ravaged humanity through their existence. Some of them include Plague, Spanish Flu, covid-19 etc. These epidemics had a devastating effect on the social and economic life as they leave a deep imprint on the lives of people. Since they lead to shutdown which is most commonly seen results in millions of people at a risk of falling in poverty, growing undernourishment , loosing their livelihoods . It has a major impact on the economies of the countries; trade restrictions, closure of travelling unable the import and export of materials due to which there is a scarcity in the availability of resources. Inability of getting resources affects production and ultimately growth rate of the country . Many families get ruined because the source of income may not survive. The acquittance of the destruction caused cannot be made even after years. Overall, it changes the life of people socially, mentally and financially. Specifically like COVID-19 has killed millions of people . Due to pandemic the country is expected to cause the biggest recession. The budget deficit has widen since the government has to spend resources on food and health. It caused much more severe impact than we can imagine.
