Dear GVC and all my friends from the US and India

It's very nice to meet you in this year. I can't believe time flies so fast and it's nearly the end of the project. My friends, we still remember when we first met on Edmodo doing the conversation and greeting. It was our first time talking to people who lived so far away! Thanks to GVC, we had a wonderful opportunity to make friends not only from our school but other countries. We got to know each other and worked with them. Thanks to JoAnn and Lakshmi. You care about us all the time. We like reading your emails. And we want to thank our partner schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Jhajjar and Bayou View Elementary School, you're awesome! It's very nice to work and have conversation with you! Because of you we know how big this world is! Besides, cultures are so different in other countries! How fascinating! It's very interesting, and we've learned a lot! Thanks to our principal and directors in Haidong Elementary School for giving us this chance to join in GVC. And thank you Mrs. Lin (Carol) and Mr. Wang (William). You've taught us so much and encouraged us so that we believed we could do our work better! Last but not least, we'd like to thank my GVC friends in Haidong Elementary School. We're from different classes, but we could meet each other through this opportunity. It's a pleasure to work with you! We know the world is having a difficult time due to the virus outbreak. My friends, hope you are OK and safe! We'll keep praying for a healthy better world for all of us.

All of us from GVC

Cooper from Bayou View Elementary:

I think it is amazing how we can communicate with other people our age. We can make friends and talk about stuff that is happening in our countries and how we can fix it.

Reflection from the teacher:

This program has been especially meaningful this year. Our students have seen a problem develop worldwide and have seen that nations are working together to solve the problem and to support each other. Our school has been closed to help protect us all from spreading the Covid-19 virus. We will not re-open this semester and won't be back until August. Working with Global Virtual Classroom helps my students see that they have so much in common with the people of other countries and should not be divided by differences. They have talked about how this has helped them see that we can all learn together and work together to solve problems. It makes students feel empowered to face the future together .
