Message of the Director

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you for collaborative efforts to enhance the Human Resources and employee well-being of our great institute, the University of Peradeniya (UoP). Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a vital role in creating a better environment for employees and the overall success of the organization. We can deploy HRM initiatives to enhance the quality of life of all of us and to enrich the legacy of our UoP.

 We, the Human Resource Development Unit of UoP are in the process of planning and implementing HRM initiatives related to Training & Development, Work-Life Balance, Health & Wellness, Belonging & Recognition, Performance Management, Recruitment & Selection, Communication and Employee Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion, Grievance Handling, Professionalism & Career Development, Mentoring, Counselling, Safety and Health Compliance, Flexible Work Arrangements, and Social Responsibility.
