September/October 2024

Check-in with Chip

Folks,

We are starting to prepare for the 2025 season.  I am writing to ask if you intend to return to the garden next year. If you have multiple plots, do you intend to keep both of your plots?

We have about 35 people on the waiting list and are anxious to find space for them in the garden.

If you plan to return or keep both of your plots, no need to respond.  I only need to know if you won't be with us next year.  The sooner you can let me know, the sooner I can start in processing new members.

Thanks.

Chip

Although the program is full and no longer accepting volunteers, gardeners are welcome to visit Seed Savers Exchange  to view the seed catalog which contains both sales and exchange options.

What to Plant Now

Still plenty of time to get those yummy fall greens planted!

Fall Recipe Corner

Although S'mores are delicious around a fire, children also might enjoy this delicious Pumpkin Apple Bread. Soft, moist, and not too sweet. Pairs well with tea, coffee, or all by itself! Yum!

Busy in the garden? School? Kids extracurriculars? This side dish packs a punch of both flavor and nutrition! Pairs well with any great protein! Chop up the veggies, a little S&P, olive oil and balsmaic. Roast at 400 for about 15-20 minutes! Yum!
