MARCH:
Kevin J. Lange PhD Memorial Scholarship is a new scholarship for 2024 seniors who are interested in pursuing a mathematics and/or computer science degree from a college or university. Applicants should fill out the form to submit their entry.
Application, Deadline: March 18th, 2024Advantage Credit Union will be awarding three scholarships this year to a senior with plans to attend a 2-year, 4-year, or technical school.

Dan F. Agnew Scholarship will be awarded to a GHS graduating senior with an interest in education, agriculture, or business. You will need to graduate in the top 40% of your class, have participated in extra-curricular school and community activities, and show character and leadership. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: March 22nd, 2024Mighty Mason Memorial Scholarship- The Family of Mason Sieck, a 7 yr old boy who attended Fairview Elementary and passed away from a rare disease, is offering a scholarship in his honor. Mason was an honorary member of the Grinnell Fire Association, a 4-H clover kid in the Sheridan group, and a member of Prairie Lakes Church. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: March 30th, 2024Tracy A. Smith Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a GHS graduating senior who has shown a passion for community service. You must have attended GHS for at least 3 years and have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.0, and must have been involved with the FFA chapter for a minimum of 2 years. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: March 31st, 2024Booster Board Scholarship- The Grinnell High School Booster Club is offering a scholarship to 1 male and 1 female from the graduating class. A minimum of 10 volunteer hours in the concession stand is needed to be considered. You can contact Courtney Donohoe for concession stand opportunities. All application materials must be mailed to the GHS Booster Club.

APRIL:
Poweshiek County Pheasants Forever Scholarship is awarded to a Poweshiek County graduating senior who will pursue a career in Natural Resources. Students must demonstrate leadership skills, have done community service, and have a commitment and passion for conservation and improvement of wildlife habitat. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 1st, 2024Grinnell Area Arts Council awards multiple scholarships in the areas of visual arts/creative writing, music, and theatrical arts/dance. GHS seniors may apply to as many of these areas as they wish, however a student may only be awarded one scholarship.
Application, Deadline: April 1st, 2024Grinnell Masonic Lodge- The Hermon Lodge #273 will award one scholarship to a graduating senior at GHS who exhibits good character, leadership, and service to the school and community. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 4th, 2024Grinnell Community Scholarship is given to GHS graduates who live within the city limits of Grinnell, meet the financial guidelines, and attend a vocational/technical school, 2 or 4-year college/university. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 5th, 2024Grinnell PEO Scholarship is for a female GHS graduate who plans to further her education at a public or private accredited college/university. Any young woman who is in the upper 30% of her class may apply. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 5th, 2024Walter Harris Memorial GHS Band Scholarship is awarded to a GHS graduating senior who is a member of the high school band and is planning on attending either a 2 or 4-year college or entering into an internship or entrepreneurship. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 5th, 2024Grinnell Elks/Howard Edwards offers a scholarship to graduating seniors who are U.S. Citizens. Recipients are leaders in their class and future leaders of our country. Paper copies are also available in the counseling office. All application materials must be turned in or mailed directly to Grinnell Elks.
Application, Deadline: April 12th, 2024Grinnell Lions Club awards one scholarship for a GHS graduating senior who shows good character and has been involved in a school or community activity. Financial needs may or may not be a consideration. The student must be enrolled in a two-year Voc/Technical program, and complete the first semester successfully. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 14th, 2024Baker Starrett LLP Scholarship awards a scholarship towards the college education of a graduating senior who has an interest in pursuing a degree in accounting or business however all other degrees are encouraged to apply. This scholarship is aimed at a well-rounded student, who displays balance in school, activities and volunteering. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 14, 2024Jensen Optometrists Health Care Scholarship awards a graduating senior of GHS who has particular interest in pursuing a career in health care. This would include, but is not limited to, the professions of optometry, medicine, dentistry, podiatry, chiropractic, physical therapy, psychology, or nursing. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 15th, 2024Jim Dayton 1976 Memorial Scholarship - Applicants must plan to pursue a program in HVAC, Agriculture Related, or other Skilled Trades areas. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 15th, 2024Nathan P. Figland Memorial Scholarship is to be awarded to a GHS graduating senior enrolling in a Criminal Justice program. The scholarship is given in memory of Nathan Figland, a 2003 graduate of GHS. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 15th, 2024Steve Kriegel Athletic Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating male or female senior who has been a member of an athletic team their senior year. The memorial fund is in memory of Steve Kriegel, a long-time teacher, and coach at Grinnell High School. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.
Application, Deadline: April 15th, 2024ARC of Poweshiek County offers scholarships to applicants who intend to pursue undergraduate-level courses in special education with a focus on working with people with mental disabilities.
Application, Deadline: April 30th, 2024Tim Longman Memorial Scholarship is available to a Grinnell High School graduating senior who plans to further his/her education at an accredited institution. The scholarship is aimed towards a well-rounded student, who displays balance in school, activities, volunteering, home life, working in the community, and also demonstrates the need for financial assistance. All application materials must be turned in the GHS Counseling Office.

MAY:
Grinnell Rotary Club Scholarship is available to any graduating GHS senior. Seniors must attend 3 Rotary meetings during the school year, held on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at West Side Diner. Students will also need to attend a 4th meeting in May, presenting to the Rotary Club about your experience.
Rotary Club Meeting Sign Up, Deadline: May 14th, 2024Stewart Trust Scholarship Helen & Mildred Stewart were Grinnell High School graduates who went on to have distinguished careers as professional librarians. Helen T. Stewart created a trust to provide college scholarships for Grinnell-Newburg High School graduates who are particularly interested in Library Science. If there are no such graduates, scholarships may be paid to worthy GHS graduates enrolled in a college liberal arts program.

NHS Scholarship- The application process for the NHS Scholarship Program is available from September 1st-November for active National Honor Society members in good standing.

Iowa School Counselor Association Senior Scholarship is for seniors pursuing post-secondary education or training who can write a 250-word essay about a school counselor who has made a difference in their K-12 career.
Application Website, Deadline: January 19th, 2024Iowa Farm Bureau- Iowa Farm Bureau awards a multitude of scholarships each year at the state, local, and memorial levels for graduating seniors. Applicants and their family must be current IFB members in good standing.
Application Website, Deadline: January 31st, 2024Mediacom Communications- 23-24 World Class Scholarship Program is being offered to senior high school students in areas served by Mediacom. It is not required that the student/family be a Mediacom customer, but the applicant must live in an area serviced by Mediacom.

Grand Lodge of Iowa MCEC Technical Scholarship is offering a scholarship opportunity for students planning on attending a trade school or community college. This is an opportunity for any trades program in Iowa. All application materials must be submitted on time.
Application, Deadline: February 1st, 2024Christina Hixson Opportunity Award at Iowa State University is a half-tuition scholarship opportunity, based on financial need, hardships, and potential. The Hixson Program will select one senior from each county. Students must have applied to ISU and been accepted.

The application process includes an essay detailing the importance of environmental health to you and what your future plans are.

The Freddy Miranda Access Scholarship will be awarded based on financial need, good character, honesty, and citizenship. First Generation, those demonstrating financial need, or an underrepresented student will be given preference.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and leadership qualities, not on golf accomplishments or ability.
Application Website, Deadline: March 31st, 2024Iowa State Sheriff & Deputies Association Scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors who are dependents of current ISSDA members. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must be a natural or adopted child of a current member.

Professional Educators of Iowa Foundation- offers scholarships to Iowa students who qualify in categories ranging from education, STEM, and other post-secondary areas. Additional awards are available to those who are members of PEIF.
Application Website, Deadline: April 1st, 2024Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement helps fund awards in the 2018 Winner's Circle Scholarships. Only one application needs to be submitted. Students must plan to pursue a degree in the Agricultural field and be actively involved in 4-H and/or FFA.

Iowa Ready Mixed Concrete Association (IRMCA)- Jerry Woods Scholarship is available online. Applicants need to be entering their first year at an Iowa community college or tech school building trades program that provides training in concrete technology and practice.
