If we were to create a game how would we control the robot ?
Through an exposure to various robots, their digital systems; input, output and storage functions, students will gather ideas for their own robotic project. While researching various projects, they will also explore Internet of Things and control their robot through Apps on the iPad.
Using both computational thinking and design ideas they will demonstrate their ability to test and evaluate their project and obtain user feedback to implement changes.
Student are introduced to computational thinking through hands discovery and elements of design thinking from the perspective of an end user. A variety of robots, hybrid graphical programming languages provide a stepping stone for the students to explore Python and JavaScript while they design their projects, with a specific focus on controlling their device.
Through developing and trialing their Sphero robot projects students will show that they can:
Draw on their knowledge of how components function and work together to understand input, output and processes. They will demonstrate
The Mosaic is a one-stop-shop for all the learning interactions, and its collation and curation. The rubric and portfolio permits the tracking and reviewing based on the teacher feedback and self and peer reflections.

What students will learn
What is a robot and what is robotics?
Topics
Students work in teams to go through the design process and use this to create their project with ideas from the Ozobot

How to write a program?
Topics
Students work in teams create a sequential quest for their robot. They then test this out with their peer to get feedback. This reinforces the iterative process.
