Use or print this troubleshooting guide for common issues. Please note that powering your Chromebook off or performing a reboot can resolve most issues.
To Reboot: Select the Refresh and Power buttons at the same time.
KEYBOARD TIPS

To take a screenshot of the entire screen, press the Ctrl key and the Switcher key at the same time.
Session 1: Introduction to Chromebooks
Students should view the Intro to Chromebooks presentation. Select the "Present" icon for better viewing.
Session 2: Chromebook Care & Repair/The 411: Where to find Chromebook Information & Support
Directions:
All LIFT teachers should go over the information provided in the Chromebook Care slide presentation.
There are two videos that can be accessed from the slides that students should view:

**Teachers should show the Chromebook Information and Support video.
** Teachers should project the Chromebook Troubleshooting Flyer. Please go over the different troubleshooting tips from the flyer with your students.
Session 3: Digital Citizenship
Teachers should show the Digital Citizenship presentation. Please note there are several short video clips linked within this presentation. They will open up on the Common Sense Media website.

Session 4: The Basics, Features, Keyboard, and Touchpad
Teachers: Students should log into their Chromebooks for their tutorial. Once they are logged in, please play the following videos for students:
Session 5: Google Drive
Teachers: Please allow students time to log into their Chromebooks, sign in, and go to google to log in - username@greenvilleschools.us, select next, and then enter their usernames and passwords.
Teachers should show students the following Google Drive presentation. The presentation includes links 3 video clips in order to introduce Google Drive, explain how to create folders in Drive for organization, how to create new docs and slides within Google Drive, and how to upload files.
Tech Tip: Check your computer sound settings. Make sure your sound is not muted. If you cannot hear the audio on the videos, check the video player icon and make sure it is not muted as well!
