The emphasis on performance with a continued goal of strengthening fundamental music and practice skills learned in Intermediate Band is the foundation of this class. Members of this ensemble are expected to maintain a disciplined practice routine to read more challenging literature. Successful completion of an Intermediate Band program is required for admission into Advanced Band.

The 8th Grade Band at Woodmont Middle is the top performing band at our school. There are many opportunities for 8th Grade Band students this year including the following:
