Band Materials

Materials You Need:

•  A black (preferably 1-inch) 3 ring binder 

• Your instrument and cleaning kit (purchased at music store)

• At least 10 plastic sheet protectors

• Pencil(s)

• Standard of Excellence Book 1  (red) for your instrument

·  Clarinets and Saxophones should have a minimum of three reeds at a time, size 2.5 (6 & 7th Grade) or size 3 (8th Grade) Vandoren reeds. Oboes and Bassoons should have a minimum of two reeds at a time. Can be purchased at a music store. Tubas must purchase their own mouthpieces.

·  Percussion – rolling bag with practice pad, bell kit and stand. Stick bag with snare drum sticks, 2 pair of yarn marimba mallets, 1 pair soft bell mallets, 1 pair hard bell mallets (the music stores will be able to put the correct materials together)
