Miranda Thomas is a clarinetist who received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Furman University in 2022. Ms. Thomas graduated Magna Cum Laude. Throughout her four year career at the university, she performed with a variety of ensembles including the Furman Symphonic Band, Paladin Regiment Marching Band, Rubato Clarinet Quartet, Furman Symphony Orchestra, and the Furman University Clarinet Ensemble.

Ms. Thomas is currently working on her Master in Music Education (M.M.Ed) from the University of Georgia. Ms. Thomas is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), South Carolina Band Director's Association (SCBDA), Kappa Delta Pi, Palmetto State Teachers Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota. 

Ms. Thomas discovered her passion for music in middle school band, which propelled her to become a music educator. This love for music at a young age motivates her to inspire others through music.

Ms. Thomas is looking forward to another great year!
