WHERE CAN I FIND SCHOLARSHIPS?

Schoolinks is a wonderful education app. to assist with scholarship searching. Log into your backpack account, click education apps. and click Schoolinks. Once you click Schoolinks, you must log in and click on finances. The next step is to click Scholarship Matching. Complete the profile and start searching for scholarships. Please contact your School Counselor if you are having issues searching for Scholarships.

Different Types of Scholarships

1.) Merit-based - Based on academic performance or extracurricular activities (ex. GPA, test scores, volunteer hours, etc).

2.) Need-based - Based on financial need

3.) Specific Scholarships - Based on the student meeting certain criteria, such as nationality, gender, religion, race, special needs, etc.

** Each college or university offers their own version of each of these scholarships, so be sure to check out the websites of colleges you are interested in.

** South Carolina also offers state lottery scholarships based on GPA and class rank: Hope, Life, Palmetto Fellows

** Scholarships provide money for college that you do not have to pay back.
