Credit and Content Recovery

Southside High School currently offers several means for students to recover missing course credit:

  • Virtual SC - Courses can be accessed anywhere with computer and internet connection. Students work through units at their own pace and credit is awarded on transcript by the student's School Counselor immediately upon completion of course. Students are limited to enrollment in 2 courses at a time. Click the link to the Virtual SC website or contact the Counseling Department for more information.

  • Satellite Diploma Program - Courses for Southside students offered at Donaldson Career Center during the day. Students attend half day, either morning or afternoon session. Offers flexible course scheduling/completion for credit deficient students. Intake session with SDP Counselor must be completed prior to enrollment. Click link to website or contact Counseling Department for more information.

Per the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy (UGP), Greenville County Schools must communicate credit and content recovery opportunities with faculty, parents, and students. In September, a committee submitted recommendations to update our
