About Me

Hi, my name is Rebecca Rivera. I've been living in Greenville and teaching at Greenville High since 2013. Before that I lived in Memphis, TN where I taught ESL, Social Studies, and Language Arts for five years. I am very happy to be in Greenville and close to my extended family. Before living in Memphis, I received a Master’s degree to teach ESOL from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California, and before that I lived and worked in Honduras. I have a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of South Carolina with a Minor in Spanish, too. This is my eleventh year teaching in the U.S., and my sixth year teaching Spanish. I love what I do and am excited to be here at Greenville High School. I will do everything I can to help all of you have a successful year!
