Intramurals
Middle School Parents:
Intramurals is a co-ed program designed to allow students to participate in different skills and activities related to physical education as well as building a healthy lifestyle. Students will work individually and within teams. All rules and expectations for intramurals still align with Greenville County School policies (this includes behavior). Intramurals will take place on Monday afternoons from 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm. Bus transportation is NOT provided and students must have arranged a ride to pick them up at 3:30 pm. After 2 late pick-ups, students will not be allowed to participate. If intramurals are canceled, an announcement will be made in the morning to allow students time to notify parents. If students are participating in another school sponsored sport (volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, or baseball), they will not be allowed to participate in intramurals during that season as scheduling conflicts will arise. In order for students to participate, they must complete the following steps:
1) Sign their name on the sign-up sheet located on the Gym entrance doors
2) Get a parent permission form from Coach Stone/Beitel in the gym
If these steps are not completed, students will not be allowed to participate. Slips returned after this date will result in the student waiting until the next month’s session. There will be a new activity/sport each month. Examples of possible activities/sports include: disc golf, nitro ball, flag football, basketball, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, and tennis. The activities/sports can change based on gym availability and weather. The activities/sports will be listed on each month’s sign-up sheet. If you have questions, please contact Coach Stone (ksstone@greenville.k12.sc.us) or Coach Beitel (kbeitel@greenville.k12.sc.us).
