Welcome to Kindergarten at Plain Elementary! Let me start by introducing myself. I graduated from Greenwood High School in 2015 and Lander University in 2019. I have an early childhood education degree from Lander. This will be my 6th year teaching. My first 2 years were taught in Greenwood County, and this will be my 4th year at Plain Elementary. I student taught in kindergarten, and went on to teach Pre-K. Within my first year teaching, I had the honor to be awarded First Year Teacher of the Year at my school. After going through the interview process, I went on to accept the district First Year Teacher of the Year.
My husband, Brady, and I were wed December of 2022. Following that, we became proud owners of a miniature labradoodle named Millie. We love to take her on walks and find opportunities for her to play! We will also be taking on our newest adventure in November by welcoming a baby boy.
I am excited to spend these upcoming months getting to know you and your children. My experience is that the children will teach me almost as much as I expect them to learn from me. I am thrilled that we will have the opportunity to work as partners in your child’s education and am very excited to be spending time with them each day as we grow and learn together.
