My name is Katie James. This year, I am excited to start my tenth year of teaching! I have taught 5th grade for 3 years in Greenville County, and 4th grade for 3 year at Plain Elementary! I am excited to start my fourth year in kindergarten this year. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Anderson University. I grew up in Simpsonville but currently reside in Easley with my husband. I am married to Daniel James who is the librarian at Alexander Elementary. We have two sweet little boys, Tucker and Kyle. They bring so much joy into our lives! We also have a precious bundle of fur, our cat Flutter. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends! I also enjoy bike rides, photography, and traveling. I really enjoy working with students to help them grow as life-long learners, and I look forward to this school year!

Rene Davis

Hi, my name is Rene Davis.  This will be my 11th year as a paraprofessional.  I worked for 6 years at Fountain Inn Elementary and this is my 6th year at Plain.  My husband, Reggie and I have been married 32 years and have two children.  Jake is 24 and in the Air Force, and Abby is 17 and in the 12th grade at Fountain Inn Christian School.  We enjoy traveling together as a family and our favorite place to visit is Fripp Island.  I love the beach, especially collecting seashells and reading near the waves.  I also love horses and ride as often as I can.  We have a little Shih tzu named Rocco, who enjoys going on car rides with us.  I am so excited to be working with Mrs. James this year and can't wait to get to know you and your precious child.
