Katie Johnson

My name is Katie Johnson, and I am excited to begin my 3rd year teaching at Plain Elementary.  I have lived in Simpsonville since I was three-years-old. My mother was a teacher for Greenville County for 30 years so I guess you could say I have the teacher blood. I graduated from USC Upstate with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.  I have always worked with children, and I absolutely love when a child learns something new.  I have an eleven-year-old daughter named Joey that is starting middle school this year. We also have a dog named Gemma. We enjoy camping, swimming, and spending time together! 

Hi, my name is Rene Davis.  This will be my 14th year as a paraprofessional.  I worked for 6 years at Fountain Inn Elementary and this is my 8th year at Plain.  My husband, Reggie and I have been married 34 years and have two children.  Jake is 26 and an Air Force veteran, and Abby is 19 and works here at our school in the EDP program. We enjoy traveling together as a family and our favorite place to visit is Fripp Island.  I love the beach, especially collecting seashells and reading near the waves.  I also love horses and ride as often as I can.  We have a little cat named Slater Tater, who loves to snuggle.  I am so excited to be working with Ms. Johnson again this year and can't wait to get to know you and your precious child.
