Instructional Philosophy:
I believe that students rise to the challenge that we give them when they are supported by their parents and teachers.
I work with parents to help students have an excellent academic experience in and out of the classroom.
I engage students in a variety of ways, allowing them to reach their full potential.
I moved to Greenville in July 2024 from Leon, Guanajuato, in Mexico, where I lived with my family for 6 years. Before moving to Mexico, I lived all over the country, on all 3 coasts and places in the middle. I love to travel and explore the world, especially natural areas and historic sites. I also love trying new foods, even weird ones! I have a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries from Virginia Tech and a Master's degree from Purdue University in Fisheries Science. I worked as a Fisheries Research Biologist for Indiana Department of Natural Resources where I studied Indiana's glacial lakes. After spending time working with local high school students as a biologist, I left that career to become a teacher.
