About Me

My name is Loan Lynn Nelson and I am the Graphic Communications Instructor at Bonds Career Center. I graduated from Greer High School and attended College of Charleston. To continue my Graphic Design degree I later attended Greenville Technical College. I am currently enrolled in Full Sail University online to complete my Visual Arts Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Graphic Design degree.

I met my best friend and husband Chad Nelson in Charleston while he was in the Navy and I was in college. Together we have four wonderful children and 2 beautiful granddaughters. Our daughter Kayla has her own design business Mad Sweeney Creations.. Storm our oldest son is head wrestling coach and English teacher at Riverbluff High School in Lexington County. Taz, our middle son is currently attending Greenville Tech for Cyber Security. And after attending Bonds Welding program under Mr. Varholy and Mr. Squires our youngest son Bear is currently employed at Boiler Tube of America as a welder.

My husband and I owned and operated Amazing Threads for 18 years until selling in 2021. I loved the creative part of our business and meeting all the wonderful people that came in through our doors. I hope to pass on my knowledge and love for the graphics industry to the future students of Bonds Career Center.
