How to Help Your Student

If you are looking for ways to encourage and support your student in their learning, here are five suggestions on places to start! Remember, we all have the same goal which is educational success for every child!

5 Ways to support your student in learning. 1. Encourage them to show you their work. 2. Encourage daily reading and studying of spelling words and math facts. 3. Make a habit of sitting down with your student every couple of weeks to go through their gradebook on backpack. 4. Follow up with disciplinary concerns. Discuss proper behavior at school. 5. If your child does not offer much information about their day, ask them questions like, "What made you smile today?" "What was the hardest rule to follow today?" "If you could change one thing about today, what would it be?"
