Has the Chromebook "frozen"? Select the refresh key and the power button.
Chromebooks update automatically. Due to frequent powering off and on, you may have a Chromebook with an update that has not been applied. This, also, could lead to issues with the Chromebook browser. To check for and apply updates to your Chromebook, try the following steps:
Click the status area, where your account picture and the clock/time appears.
Click Settings - then About Chrome OS. In the "About" window that appears, click Check for and apply updates.
Your Chromebook will start to install any available updates.
Once completed, you will need to restart your Chromebook.
Running too many extensions at once can cause your Chromebook to run slowly or act crazy.
Click the "three dots" in the top right corner of Chrome.
More tools----Extensions
Disable all extensions and see how your Chromebook runs after that. (Some are set up by the district and cannot be disabled.)
Enable extensions one at a time again to see which ones may slow you down or cause problems.
Try each of these when you run into a problem!
