Chromebook's keyboard is a little different from regular laptops. You'll notice you do not have a Caps Lock Key. You can initiate Caps Lock by selecting Alt Key + Search Key. Select the Alt Key + Search a second time in order to disable the Caps Lock feature.
The Chromebook touchpad is slightly different from traditional laptops.
The touchpad can be used to move the Chromebook arrow pointer and to select items on the screen.
Please see the following pictures that demonstrate the Chromebook touchpad, finger placement and finger movements that will allow you use the touchpad in order to click, right-click, scroll up and down, and drag and drop.
1. Make sure there is no dust or dirt on the touchpad.
2. Touch the Esc key several times.
3. Drumroll your fingers on the touchpad for ten seconds.
4. Restart your Chromebook.
