Hello! I'm Jillian Hoffman (she/her) and I feel fortunate to spend my fourth year teaching in Riverside High School's fabulous English Department. I've taught English 1 CP & English 2 CP. This year I will teach English 1 Honors and English 2 CP.
I grew up in Spartanburg and graduated from Spartanburg High School. I eventually graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Furman University. Later, I graduated from Furman's one-year, intensive Master of Arts in Teaching program after completing a year of student teaching at Riverside High School with Karen Erickson (English 2 Honors and CP).
I have a passion for the performing and visual arts. I grew up dancing competitively, singing in my high school choir, and competing in national operatic singing competitions. In my spare time, I love to draw. My beautiful, perfect, incredible gray cat is named Luna. I'm a life-long, unwavering Baltimore Orioles fan.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. I love my job and I love my students, and I feel confident we will have a great year together.
