Late Work Policy and Redo

HHS Late Work Policy

The HHS late work policy is as follows:

Teachers of the same course and level can determine the late work policy of their classrooms to be no more restrictive than the following:

If a student fails to turn in an assignment (major or minor) on time, then 10 points will be deducted from the student's grade each day for up to five school days from the assignment’s due date. After the fifth school day, late work will not be accepted.

HHS Make-Up Work Policy

The HHS make-up work policy:

Students must be allowed the opportunity to make up work due to absences that are excused, unexcused or related to discipline with no penalty within 5 days or a reasonable time according to GCSD board policy.

REDO:

Teachers will accept late work as their content recovery throughout the quarter. Here, teachers would allow students to turn in assignments that are missing or were never completed. Completed assignments will be graded with a minimum of a 60. *Note this will serve as the teacher’s late work policy and common-prep teams will agree on how to grade these assignments.
