ABOUT Mr. Morrill

Ken Morrill grew up in western New York State - the part that is very much like a cold, rural South Carolina. He excelled in his art courses through school and college. He has created and collaborated on a range of public works throughout the Rochester region which include murals, sculptures, and public gardens.

Mr. Morrill moved to South Carolina in 2003 and fell in love with the upstate. He graduated from Winthrop University with a B.S. in Liberal Arts and a K12 teaching certificate. He owns a 1974 Airstream Sovereign which he has refurbished as a tiny house, proudly rolls around in a super-compact Hyundai Accent which doubles as a student art gallery. He also creates NFTs and spaces in the metaverse as a Web3 artist/entrepreneur. He has also drawn a fun little series of duck comics since 1988 called Duck Doodles.

Mr. Morrill's favorite things to do include drawing (especially the Duck Doodles, a comic series with his best friend, and tiny houses), reading, kayaking and tubing, going to the mountains (which is also where he lived for five years), and going on adventures with his friends.

Mr. Morrill has enjoyed working with the students, families, and community partners at Fisher Middle School since 2017 to carry on the fine arts tradition and bring some of his design and tech passions to students who want to explore the wide world of ART+DESIGN all around us. He started teaching in 2007 and has loved (almost) every moment of it.

Did I mention I love Deloreans and Back to the Future and I built a flux capacitor and a Mr. Fusion Home energy Reactor? FYI, this is NOT my Delorean, but I got to drive it!
