Freshman Year Checklist/Timeline:
Fall (August - December)
Freshman Orientation
Focus on getting off to a good start academically
Counselor minute meetings with 9th graders during Quarter 1- know your resources!
Develop effective study skills and utilize test-taking tips
Become involved in extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports, and/or volunteer activities in the community
Build your Student-Led IGP Presentation
Project in Freshman Success class
1st semester ends: Remember, all grades count! Everything goes on your transcript and is counted into your GPA!
Spring Semester (January - June)
Meet with your counselor and parents to present your IGP Presentation
Tour & Apply to special programs: CTE Innovation Center, Fine Arts Center, Golden Strip Career Center
Be on the lookout for Bridges to a Brighter Future information
May: AP testing
graduadtion requirements
Students must earn a total of 24 units of credit in order to graduate. Beginning with the graduating class of 2027, requirements will now include a half credit (.5) of personal finance.
