Class overview
Welcome to the Law Enforcement Program at Enoree Career Center.
This program has evolved beyond the traditional concept of a classroom focused only on policing. Our new philosophy is centered on preparing students for the entire field of public safety, leadership, and service. While law enforcement remains the foundation of the program, students are now exposed to a broader range of career skills that reflect the realities of today’s world.
Our mission is to develop young men and women who understand responsibility, integrity, teamwork, communication, and professionalism. Students will be challenged mentally, physically, and academically through hands-on training, real-world scenarios, leadership opportunities, certifications, and career-based instruction.
The modern public safety professional must be adaptable. Because of that, our program incorporates training and exposure in multiple career pathways including:
Law Enforcement
Emergency Communications and Dispatch
Corrections and Security
Emergency Management
Public Safety Technology
Drone Operations
Criminal Investigations
Leadership and Professionalism
This program is designed to move beyond textbooks. Students participate in scenario-based learning, report writing, radio communications, teamwork exercises, physical readiness activities, and industry-recognized certifications that help prepare them for college, military service, or direct entry into the workforce.
Our philosophy is simple:
Discipline matters. Character matters. Service matters.
We believe students should leave this program not only with knowledge, but with confidence, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of what it means to serve others. Whether a student chooses a career in public safety or another profession entirely, the lessons learned here are intended to build responsible adults prepared for the challenges of life.
At Enoree Career Center, we are not simply teaching a class. We are building future leaders.
About me
Welcome to Law Enforcement at Enoree Career & Technology Center!
Hello! My name is Mr. Thomas Johnson, and I’m excited to be your teacher this year. I’ve worked in law enforcement for over 30 years, including 15 years as a School Resource Officer. In this class, students will learn what it’s really like to work in law enforcement through hands-on activities, scenarios, and training, along with classroom lessons about the history, laws, and responsibilities of the profession. My goal is to create a safe and respectful learning environment where students can build confidence, teamwork, and practical skills that will prepare them for future careers in public safety or any path they choose. I look forward to working with both students and parents to make this a successful and rewarding year!
