Law Enforcement I introduces students to the field of criminal justice and policing. Students will explore the history of law enforcement, the criminal justice system, laws and the Constitution, officer safety, patrol procedures, report writing, and basic investigative skills. Hands-on learning, classroom discussions, and scenarios will reinforce practical understanding.
· Describe the history and evolution of policing in the U.S.
· Understand the structure of the criminal justice system.
· Apply basic laws and constitutional rights to scenarios.
· Demonstrate officer safety techniques and work practices.
· Practice effective written communication through reports.
· Conduct basic traffic stops, searches, and crime scene procedures.
· Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and teamwork.
