The End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end-of-course tests for four high school courses taught with South Carolina standards: Algebra 1, Biology 1, English 2 and United States History and the Constitution.
EOCEP examination scores account for 20% in the calculation of the student's final grade in these courses.
The EOCEP tests measure what students have been learning all year in these subjects. The test questions are aligned to the South Carolina academic standards, which can be found at https://ed.sc.gov/tests/high/eocep/.
The South Carolina State Department of Education (SCSDE) provides state-level assessment information (including EOC) for parents on their website. The next link will take you to their EOC brochure. (To request this information in an alternate format or in a language other than English, click here to access the SCSDE request form.)
At J. L. Mann the EOCEP is given in December for 1st Semester courses and in May for 2nd Semester courses.
