About Ms. Gresham

Hi everyone! My name is Hannah Gresham and I am ecstatic to join the Sterling Family as the 8th grade English teacher. I grew up right here in Simpsonville, SC, where I graduated from Hillcrest High School. It’s great to be back in Greenville County! After high school, I attended the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!) where I got my Bachelor’s in English and I loved the school so much, I decided to go ahead and get my Master’s in Secondary Education in English from there as well. While I did love Columbia and everything it had to offer, I missed being in the Greenville area and came back once I graduated.

I have been teaching English since 2021 and it has been both an incredible and challenging experience for me. Before Sterling, I was at one other high school where I taught English 2 and 3 (10th and 11th grade) and helped with the Drama Club. I have truly loved working with students and creating those bonds with them and helping them discover a connection with literature. Those moments and memories have meant so much to me and while I will miss the ones I left behind, I am so excited and eager to make new ones.

In my spare time, I love to draw and paint. Sometimes you can find me selling my art at markets and conventions! Other times you can find me curling up to take a nap with my cat (Little Bitty Two Face Kitty), playing video games, or reading manga.
