About Ms. Gordon
My name is Ellen Gordon and I am so exited to teach 3rd grade again this year! This is my fourth year at Bethel, but it is my 29th year teaching. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Tulane University, and then I completed a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Furman University. Additionally, I completed a M.A.+30 program in School Leadership from Furman University. Previously I have taught kindergarten, second, third and fourth grades, as well as hands-on science/discovery to kindergarten, first and second grade students. I also served as an Instructional Coach for five years.
I have two sons- Ryan and Seth. Ryan graduated from the University of South Carolina last May, and Seth is a junior there this year. Along with cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks, we are HUGE University of Kentucky Wildcats fans for BASKETBALL! We have three inquisitive and demanding cats named Skippy, Gray and baby Tucker, but I love all animals. I also enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with family near and far.
