For the 2026-2027 school year, magnet applications will solely be taken through the Greenville County Schools Parent Backpack Portal. The application for first round admissions will open in November 10, 2025. Paper applications are no longer available at Beck Academy.Â
It is not necessary for students zoned to attend Beck to apply to the program. Students zoned to attend another district middle school who are interested in attending Beck's magnet program should apply. You are strongly encouraged to apply during Application Round 1 as spaces in the program are limited and fill quickly. A waitlist is maintained for students who qualify but are not offered a seat at Beck due to program space availability.
*As a reminder, you may only submit ONE magnet application each school year, but you may apply for more than one program at a time! Be certain to apply for all programs of interest at the time of application as you cannot amend your application or reapply to different programs during future application rounds. Finally, the school choice Change in Assignment (CIA) lottery process is separate from the magnet application process. Beck is not a CIA school and does not participate in the CIA Lottery.
