About the director

Mrs. Moyer is excited to be back for her 11th year at Wade Hampton High School! Music touches the soul in a way that nothing else can and she loves sharing that with students every day.

She grew up in Seneca, SC and filled her time with piano lessons, orchestra, choir, and equestrian sports. At Seneca High, she focused on voice as a member of the Honors Chorale and Madrigal Singers and participated in the SC All-State Choir 2000-2002. Mrs. Moyer attended Winthrop University's Choral Music Education program and participated in the Chorale and Jazz Voices ensembles. After receiving a Bachelor's degree, she became Choral Director for Laurens District 55 High School in 2006 and then joined the Wade Hampton family in 2012.

Mrs. Moyer has been married to her husband, Paul, for 17 years and they have 3 wonderful children: Carston, Gillian, and Madelyn. Over the summer they all celebrated their birthdays turning 13, 11, and 8. She enjoys reading, time with family, outdoor fun, and DIY projects.

Mrs. Moyer is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Educators and has recently discovered a love of barbershop after spending a week in the summer of 2019 in Nashville with the Barbershop Harmony Society and recently started a young adult barbershop choir, Palmetto Forte.
