January 18 - 100th Day of School!

Happy 100th Day of Kindergarten!  We had a great day with the number 100.  We practiced counting to 100 by 10s and 1s.  We created the Superhero Retirement Village, made a necklace with 100 beads, made some 100s with pretzels & crackers, and showed off what SUPER Kindergartners we are!  Click on any of the images to see more pictures from our 100th day.

January 17, 2024 - What to do when you are learning about Winter, but there isn't any snow to observe outside?  Play with pretend snow, of course!  We enjoyed playing with fake snow after reading "The Snowy Day".  Click on any of the images to see more pictures from our Snow Fun!

January 12, 2024 - In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we learned about Dr. King and how he worked to make our world a fairer place for all people.  Then we conducted an experiment with M&M candies.  We observed that our M&Ms had lots of different colors on the outside, but when we took a bite, they were all the same on the inside!  We decided that people are like M&Ms because we look different on the outside, but inside we have lots of the same feelings, hopes, and dreams.  Differences make us unique & special and make the world a more interesting place!  We like that our job is to keep sharing kindness with EVERYONE around us!  Click on any of the images to see more pictures from our M&M experiment.  (Some friends ate their M&Ms too fast for a picture!)
