January 20 - Happy 100th Day of Kindergarten! We had a great day with the number 100. We practiced counting to 100 by 10s and 1s. We created the Superhero Retirement Home, made a necklace with 100 beads, celebrated 2 birthdays, and showed off what SUPER Kindergartners we are! January 16 - In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we learned about Dr. King and how he worked to make our world a fair place for all people. Then we conducted an experiment with M&M candies. We observed that our M&Ms had lots of different colors on the outside, but when we took a bite, they were all the same on the inside! We decided that people are like M&Ms because we look different on the outside, but inside we have lots of the same feelings, hopes, and dreams. Differences make us unique & special and make the world a more interesting place! We like that our job is to keep sharing kindness with EVERYONE around us! January 14 - After reading "The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza," we made some lovely little pizzas just like Little Red Hen! Click on any of the images to see more pictures from our pizza fun!
