Welcome to our third grade class! My name is Terrie Werner, and I am very excited to be your child’s third grade teacher this year. I look forward to working with you and your child to make this an exciting, challenging, and rewarding third grade year. My hope is to encourage each child to reach his/her full potential this year. It may not always be easy, but I am certain that by using the life skills of responsibility, flexibility, and organization all children will learn and grow in third grade.
I was born in Washington, DC and raised in New Jersey. I have been married for 27 years and have two boys, Thomas (24) and Kevin (20). Thomas will be entering the Air Force in October, and Kevin is a junior at Auburn University studying Aerospace Engineering.
I attended Clemson but received my Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance from Ohio University, and a law degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I was a corporate mergers and acquisitions attorney for eight years before stopping to raise a family. I spent 15 years as a substitute teacher, teacher assistant, homeschooling mom, and K4 teacher before deciding to return to school and get my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Anderson University. This will be my fourth year teaching third grade at Woodland.
