Mrs. Manley
25-26 Daily Schedule -
This is my 21st year teaching and 11th year in third grade. I taught 9 years in 2nd grade, six of those at Hollis Elementary, and one of those years was in 4th grade. I transferred from Hollis 15 years ago to be closer to my home and family. I have 2 children, Ethan and Emma. My son, Ethan, is 21 years old and works at BMW. Emma is a vibrant 16 year old who keeps us busy with softball. The other two adorable members of our family are Cooper and River. They are very energetic Maltipoos that give us all a run for our money.
My husband, Chad, and I have been married for 24 years. We are both Greenville natives. I graduated from Eastside and Chad was a Riverside boy! I went on to Anderson University where I received my BS Education in 2002. I also received my Masters in Education in 2019 from Walden University. Other than being a Christian, mom and wife, teaching is my purpose in life. I learn and laugh with the kids on a daily basis! Getting to know your child and tapping into his or her learning style and personality will take us far this year!
On the first day of school the class and I will review the rules that we feel are needed for our classroom to be a safe, fun, and enjoyable learning environment. All children in the classroom are expected to school-wide rules. Good behavior is vital to success in the classroom. I have high expectations for every student and look forward to helping them reach their full potential this year.
Students will earn tickets which can be used to make classroom purchases from our treasure chest. As a class, we will create our purchase list the first week of school. I feel this approach helps encourage students and it creates a positive learning experience for them. Please consider donating treasure chest prizes so our students can earn daily rewards for appropriate behavior.
If any troubling situations arise, they will be handled on an individual basis. I will not contact parents for minor issues. If a situation warrants, I will contact parents through either email, phone call or a note home.
