Privacy Policy for UnblockerlyGO
Last Updated: February 2, 2026
1. Introduction
UnblockerlyGO ("we," "us," or "the Extension") is a professional media discovery and evidence preservation utility designed for investigators, legal professionals, and researchers. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and integrity. This policy outlines our "Zero-Data" approach.
2. No Data Collection
UnblockerlyGO does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. * Browsing History: We do not track the websites you visit or the frequency of your scans.
Captured Media: All images, videos, and audio files discovered and preserved by the Extension are processed locally on your machine. We never have access to your evidence.
Forensic Logs: When "Forensic Metadata Logging" is enabled, the resulting .txt files are generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your local file system.
Positive Assurance: If necessary, our active code can be shared with law enforcement for review ahead of approval for use.
3. Local-First Processing
All core functionalities—including Shadow DOM piercing, media discovery, and UI unblocking—occur strictly within the user's local browser instance. No data is sent to external servers or cloud environments for processing.
4. Third-Party Links & "Partner Spotlight"
The Extension contains static links to professional investigative partners (the "Ad Rotator").
Interaction: Clicking these links will open a new browser tab to a third-party website.
Data Sharing: We do not share your Extension usage data, identity, or capture history with these partners. Your interaction with third-party sites is governed solely by their respective privacy policies.
5. Security & Chain of Custody
UnblockerlyGO is designed to assist in maintaining the integrity of digital evidence.
Forensic Metadata: The optional logging feature preserves the original source URL, page title, and timestamp at the moment of capture to assist in legal authentication.
Permissions: The Extension requests activeTab, scripting, and downloads permissions solely to perform its stated functions of media discovery and file preservation.
6. Regulatory Compliance
COPPA: As we do not collect any data, we are in full compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
GDPR/CCPA: Because no personal data is ever collected or transmitted, UnblockerlyGO inherently respects the "privacy by design" requirements of these regulations.
7. Changes to This Policy
Any future updates to the Extension that change its data-handling practices will be accompanied by an update to this Privacy Policy. However, our commitment to professional-grade, local-only evidence capture remains our primary focus.
