Graphic novel or comic

A novel is a piece of narrative that tells an imaginative story of a human experience through a sequence of events. A graphic novel, is a novel but combines words and text with images in the form of a comic-strip. This piece of work can be written, typed out or acted out.

To help you, what are the characteristics of a graphic novel?

• A main narrative or story

• Cast of characters

• A key message or lesson

• A dialogue and narration.

Technical model

The technical model shows how your green solution will look or work practicality. Your technical model should be in a physical form and explain the science behind and the technicalities of how your project will work in the real world. You are unrestricted when it comes to your size dimensions, so run wild with your ideas. While it would be advantageous to have a working prototype, what we are looking for is how you convey thought, attention to detail, nuance and intricacy behind your idea.

Visual art or poster

This method is all about expression, creativity, freedom, and communicating a message. Art inspires, motivates and can make people think, encouraging problem solving. 

What we would like to see from you is an illustration or creation of an artwork or poster, expressing your desire for positive change through abstract visuals. In the form of an art piece, express your interpretation on how your green solution will change or impact your community.

Video storytelling 

This artform allows you you to tell a story through a short video clip or skit. You may narrate a story, act out a scene or skit, perform a play, create an awareness campaign or a showcase real life documentary. The main aim is to produce a video or tale demonstrating how a green solution can benefit  your community.
