Description: Foundations for Core Connections occurs prior to the start of the school year and is for teachers new to implementing CPM’s Core Connections series (but can also be just as beneficial for experienced CPM teachers who haven't attended PL in awhile and simply want a refresher/catalyst for the new school year). The entire series contains multiple components and is grounded in active experiences delivered over the first year. The experiences in the foundational series will encourage teachers to adjust their instructional practices, expand their content knowledge, and challenge their beliefs about teaching and learning. Through this learning event and additional on-demand work, teachers and leaders will gain first-hand experience with CPM and concentrate on the course content they will be teaching. Over the course of the series, educators will experience mathematics, consider instructional practices, and gain strategies to create the classroom environment necessary for a successful implementation of CPM curriculum resources. Participants will need to complete the fall and spring one-day follow-up events (either virtually or in person at a Regional Site) to complete the full Foundations for Core Connections series.

Standard III - A, B, D, F
Registration: See directions below. If you have any questions, you can contact Erika McNichol (emcnichol@greeleyschools.org) or John Fischer (jfischer1@greeleyschools.org).
First, do you have a CPM account? If you've been using your eBooks, then yes you do! But if you happen to need one, please request one ASAP by completing this form.
Then, once you’re logged in at my.cpm.org and enter the Professional Learning Portal, click HERE to access the Greeley event card. Click on the event card, and then click REGISTER NOW. It's as easy as that!
After you confirm your registration, the event will then show up on your dashboard in the portal, and you'll be ready to confirm attendance each day. Pam Chavez, CPM Professional Learning Specialist who will be leading this event, will be sending an announcement through the portal to all registered participants the week prior with any pre-event tasks and information.
