We will also explore how teachers can introduce mindfulness to their students. Walk away with practical strategies to reduce overwhelm, enhance resilience, and rediscover the joy of teaching and working in D6.
This retreat is led by District 6's own Michael Apodaca. The session is free for CDE Renewal hours, or you can pay $34 to earn 0.5 D6 Credits.

Whether you have taken the Bond Institute before or this is your first time, come join us for the second edition of the Bond Science Institute. This Institute will still be a fun filled four days of hands-on/minds-on science activities designed to help you learn how to integrate science with reading, writing, math, and art. A focus on NGSS and the use of phenomenon within your classroom will also be addressed as well as reintroducing the magic of wonder into your classroom. There will be an assortment of new ideas including the use of discussion boards; sense making; and helping your students design their own investigations from the questions they have asked. There will be an additional focus this year helping you with your professional development skills on becoming a science leader in your district. As always, you will be able to meet and share ideas with teachers from other schools and districts!
