It is a foggy morning in Grants Pass. Yellow and green vegetation changes color as the season continues.
A duck wanders through the colored leaves in Reinhart Volunteer/All Sports Park.
These Smooth Aster flowers are still alive and well into the fall season. In front of the flowers is a glass pumpkin decoration that celebrates the fall season.
It is a clear blue day and the contrast of green and red leaves on this tree in the All Sports Park shows early fall is here.
Piles of variety pumpkins are being sold at stores all around. This is a close up of a Knucklehead pumpkin at Safeway. In the background sits Porcelain Doll pumpkins.
The afternoon sun reflects off the water in a small pond while ducks swim about and eat. In the background, many trees are still bright green here in early fall.
Here is an outlook of a nearby, larger pond in the park with a walking bridge and trees surrounding. The blinding sun right above the tall tree stands out and reflects against the camera. Few trees have changed color yet in this area.
Leaves of multiple colors dangle from this maple tree. Green is still present amongst the red shades. The shade from other leaves in front, displays a shadow contrasting to the sunlight.
Here is a close up of a Pink Velour Crape Myrtle tree that grows well at this time of year. The soft, felt-like petals look crumpled and its green leaves are strong.
October means the spooky season is here. A spider web that is one of many along a bridge in a park clings to the surroundings.
Finding this red leaf on the ground and holding it up from the stem in front of the sun shows the detail as the sun breaks through. The veins and green splotches are more visible.
Some dead dried red and orange leaves lay on the lively green grass below trees.
This branch of leaves stands out against the green trees behind. The leaves slowly fade from a dull red to a more vibrant red.
The night settles in as the sun goes down and days get shorter. A blue, fading sky is contrasted by the dark evergreen trees. A waxing crescent moon sits, glowing, in the sky.
