Fort Vannoy is hosting their annual Fall Harvest Festival this year, starting on Oct. 1, 2022. Their open hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Fall Harvest Festival is a great place to hang out with friends and family, and to kick off the fall season! You can enjoy a variety of different activities that Fort Vannoy has to offer such as: picking out pumpkins, riding on the cow train, trying to escape the corn maze, and enjoying food from their many vendors.
FORT VANNOY HISTORY
Fort Vannoy Farms has been around since 1923. At the start, Fort Vannoy was originally a dairy farm until 1962, when it was changed to crop production. The farm is owned by the Crouse Family who, to this day, keep the farm traditions alive. On Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, Fort Vannoy has a self-serving farm stand with fresh produce, located at the farm.
PUMPKIN PICKING
At Fort Vannoy Farm, there are eight acres of pumpkin patches with a wide selection to choose from. For $.39/lb, select any kind of shape, size, or color of pumpkin to take home, carve, or just use for decoration. Grab a wheelbarrow and enjoy the day picking out the perfect pumpkins!
COW TRAIN
The cow train is a fun and bumpy ride at Fort Vannoy Farm. Choose a cart and enjoy the ride with all your friends and family for $6 per person. As an ATV pulls the carts through a dirt course, passengers will be bumped around, go up and down hills, and go in loops. This is a great way to spend time with the people you love most!
CORN MAZE
The corn maze at Fort Vannoy Farm has eight acres of maze to shuffle through and try to find a way out. According to the Fort Vannoy website, each year, a new maze is designed by the farmers at Fort Vannoy. The price is $6 per person (children 5 and under are free). Spend the day walking through stalks of corn with friends and family.
HAUNTED CORN MAZE
Fort Vannoy Farm is guaranteed to scare customers with this year's Haunted Corn Maze. While customers wind their way through this terrifying maze in the dark, they will encounter clowns, chainsaws, and zombies. As stated on the Fort Vannoy website, the Haunted Corn Maze will be starting on Oct. 7, 2022. People can also enjoy this attraction on Oct. 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29. The maze opens at 7:00 p.m. and will continue until 10:00 p.m. There will be pre-sold tickets for $19 per person. Dress for cooler weather, as this event will be at night in Oct. Food will be provided by food trucks until 7 p.m.
Many residents of Grants Pass definitely recommend spending time at the farm. According to a review by Tim Ward, "The whole town shows up for Fall fun! You should too! My family and I had a great time." Go kick off the fall season with a day at Fort Vannoy and enjoy making memories with friends, and family, enjoying great food, and taking pictures to remember the memories.
